Secluded WATERFALL CABIN by Private Fly Fishing Stream

Privat Cabin by Stream and Waterfall

As you pull in the drive, the first thing you'll notice is the rushing stream and soothing waterfall. The waterfall is 25 feet from the master bedroom and the stream comes within 10 feet of the front porch. Very secluded, ½ mile off paved road, and bordered on 2 sides by an 8,000 acre private preserve- great to explore. In warmer months, lay in the naturally formed pool and cool off after a long hike in the nearby woods or one of the NATIONAL PARKS AND FORESTS located just a few miles away.

Waterfall Cabin Front Porch

The porch beckons you to rest a while in the comfy rockers and feed the trout. There really is no better way to unwind than to put up your feet and enjoy nature's simple abundance. Stepping into this charming two bedroom cabin you are greeted by an elegantly rustic designed interior that has been beautifully decorated with plenty of warmth and comfort.

Waterfall Cabin Family Room

This mountain cabin was newly constructed in September of 2003 and some of the fine details include wide plank wood flooring throughout, tall cathedral beamed ceilings in the main living area and the centerpiece is of course the authentic stone stacked fireplace complete with a fresh supply of firewood. For your comfort the cabin is also equipped with central heat and air conditioning as well as satellite TV/VCR and DVD player.

Waterfall Cabin Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, disposal, range, dishwasher and an icemaker in the refrigerator and has a utility room off the kitchen with washer and dryer. If you prefer to cook outdoors there is an outdoor grill with charcoal and a unique rock table to picnic.

Waterfall Cabin Master Bedroom

The large master bedroom has a brand new comfy Tempur-Pedic queen bed and a nice walk-in closet. Each bedroom has three windows which really give you a great view of the outdoors. At night if you open the windows you'll be lulled to sleep by the waterfall's gentle passing.

Waterfall Cabin Guest Bedroom

Bring your guests or bring the kids as this home will sleep four comfortably. The second bedroom has two twin beds and large closet and of course both bedrooms are equipped with fresh bedlinens and towels for the full bath.

Beautiful peaceful slice of heaven!!!

My wife and I were lucky enough to spend a long weekend at the cabin by the falls and it was the most peaceful time I have had in many years. The cabin is cozy and comfortable with excellent sleeping accomodations. The wood pile was fully stocked for our evening fires and the sound of the waterfall outside the bedroom window was so soothing to the mind and spirit. We chose to relax and take advantage of the fact we were away from the everyday rush and constant cellphone calls. There was plenty of hiking trails, and we were even luck enough to see a big black bear cross the road right in front of our car (about 10 miles from the cabin thankfully!). It was an awesum site as he stared at us from just inside the woods edge as we very slowly passed by him. We would recommend this to anyone who's looking to have a secluded escape. Very relaxing...We will return

Incredible location on secluded stream

My husband and I and our two boys age 8 and 11 stayed here recently and had the best time. The kids enjoyed exploring the stream and jumping in the small swimming hole which is crystal clear and filled with very cold mountain spring water. The house is right on the babbling stream and you can relax listening to the sounds of the stream while drinking your coffee on the front porch in the morning. This two bedroom home is the perfect size for a cozy family getaway. I also highly recommend Miller's Waterfall tour as a way to really get to know the area. Brevard is a close 20 minute drive and is a great place to shop, dine or sightsee.

My wife and I found the cabin to be a real gem, in a beautiful mountain setting. The house was very well appointed, comfortable and cozy. Our children had a wonderful time exploring the lovely stream and waterfall in front of the house, and walking up the woddsy path behind the house. We truly enjoyed everything.

This cabin is a gem!

Our family of four just spent 7 nights at The Waterfall Cabin & we wanted to stay a month! It was beautiful, peaceful and serene. The temperature where the cabin is located was a constant & cool temperature that was just perfect. Our daughters had so much fun looking for crawdads & salamanders in the creek, & the waterfall sights & sounds were so relaxing. The town of Brevard was an unexpected plus! It was so much fun to walk around & we did quite a bit of shopping. We bought some excellent bread at the bakery down there & had a good meal & beer at Dugan's Irish Pub. We saw 6 or 7 white squirrels on the college campus & they were adorable & friendly. Remember to take some raw nuts for them! :) Pisgah National Forest was GREAT. I just loved The Cradle of Forestry, & the fish hatchery was so neat. Sliding rock there was a BLAST!! We found out that you can go there when they are CLOSED (after 6pm) & there was NO LINE!!! Our girls had a BALL! It is "slide at your own risk" then as there is no lifeguard, but it was quite safe. Try to wear denim shorts as our cotton shorts got holes in them from sliding. Sliding rock was ALOT of fun. :) Asheville is only 45 mins and well worth the trip. We also did the 4 hour guided waterfall tour with Craig Miller & it was fantastic. Beautiful waterfalls & he is a friendly & fun guide. We will be back!

Lovely Relaxing Getaway

Guest: Sharon(Kokomo, In.)

My husband and I loved this cabin. It was exactly what it was advertised to be. And exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful secluded cabin with gorgeous surroundings. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our visit a day and just stayed at the cabin. The waterfall makes this property so special. It is so relaxing to just sit on the porch and listen to the falls. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away and just relax and enjoy the outdoors. The other waterfalls in the area are stunning. We went in April after a few days of rain so they were especially beautiful. Miller's Waterfall Tours are worth the money. The Biltmore Mansion in the spring is so pretty with all the spring flowers in bloom. It is a great way to see part of North Carolina and the surrounding mountains.

What a Wonderful Hideaway!

Guest: William and Anne(Wilmington, NC)

What a wonderful respite your lovely hideaway provided us. Completely away from the hustle and business of every day life- even enjoyed no cell phone service. The cabin was exquisite and extremely well decorated- not to mention the relaxing creek and waterfall. Been to the NC mountains many times, and this I believe was our most enjoyable. The simple town of Brevard offered a lovely afternoon and dinner. Can't wait to hopefully return in the Spring of 2011 and bring the grandchildren. Highly recommend this home.

Trout House Falls

We stayed at the Trouthouse Falls Cabin over the Thanksgiving Holiday and it was amazing! The secluded cabin is tucked away in the mountains and has it's own picture-perfect waterfall. The kids loved playing in the stream, and everybody enjoyed all of the nearby hiking trails. We hope to return someday before too long.

Trout House Falls

Lovely cabin, secluded location, nicely appointed interior, loved the stone fireplace and front porch that has a view of a small waterfall on the creek that runs thru the property. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Only let down was...for the price, my expectation would be a later checkout time, you really lose the entire last day. Also the cleaning lady came and stayed on the front porch an hour and a half before the check out time! Very uncomfortable situation.... In addition, it was a bit aggravating not to have amenities like hand soap etc in both the kitchen and bath....
